We live in KCMO now

Well it's 2013 and as promised, I said that I would resume blogging to keep my beloved Durham friends posted on our lives in Kansas City, MO (KCMO).

Here our some pictures from moving day, December 27, 2012---thank you so much to our friends who helped us pack up the truck: Keith, Andrew, Brett, Les, Jeff, Steve, and Angela, we literally couldn't have done it without you.  

Now after 1,100 miles on the road, Steve, my brother & Todd in the Uhaul and me driving Dietrich our Jetta, we made it to KCMO Saturday December 29 at 1am.  The trip went well, we just hit 3 hours of intense snow, but the rest of the drive was a dream.

Here are pictures of our little one bedroom loft apartment.  We put a lot in storage and then my office furniture into my new office.  Needless to say we had a LOT of stuff in our 20 foot Uhaul & thanks to Les & Keith who pieced it all together like tetris.

 Not sure if you can see but this building right across the street from our apt, has "Bull Durham" painted on the wall, saying they are the best cigarettes. Awe, this makes me smile everyday, a piece of home in a strange and far away land
