Thanksgiving Weekend

This weekend, Todd & I cooked & baked some of our favorite recipes to take to Thanksgiving meals at our friends houses and to take to the beach for the weekend. We double dipped on Thanksgiving--we went to the Joslins at 12 and the Furry's at 3pm. It was a good time with our friends & their children that we adore. Thanks for having us.

On Friday we picked up Adrian at the airport and drove him back to the base. Today (Sunday) he is supposed to leave for his tour across the ocean in a not so fun place (I can't say where technically). If prayer is your thing, please pray for him and his wife (Todd's sister Stacey), he'll be gone for a year total. We love you Adrian, we are proud of you and we are praying for you.

Then we drove to Wilmington/Topsail Island to visit Carie Beth (who's 6 months pregnant), Mitchell and their 2 year old Jackson for the rest of the weekend. Below is the beach this morning, it was so beautiful, the tide was so far in, Todd & I went for a run/walk on the beach with their dog Jasper, who loves for you to throw the ball far away and he'll run to get it. I would throw it, but it wouldn't go very far, so he catch dropping the ball in front of Todd because apparently throws it much farther. Carie Beth & Mitchell are building their first home below ---we are SO excited for you! Congrats, on your beautiful new home, we love it! We love you all. Thanks for a great weekend together. We miss you.

Heather Weekend

What an amazing weekend, somehow though it always flys and I find myself driving Heather back to the airport when it seems that I just picked her up.

Heather is one of those people that you belly laugh with, can be really silly with, and can cry with all within a few hours. I wish she lived closer (maybe someday).

Heather, I so appreciate you taking the time out to come and visit. It was a breath of fresh air and it brought heaven to earth. Thank you my friend for always caring, listening, and giving so selflessly. You inspire and amaze me. I love you, LB
