Kevin & Julie graduating

My dear friend Julie (or as we like to call her now, Dr. J) graduated from medical school from the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill.

In the same day, and only an hour apart, her hubby Kevin graduated from Duke Divinity school with a master in divinity. In the picture you can see Todd helping hood Kevin during the ceremony. It was such a fun day even with the downpour.

We love you Kevin & Julie, and miss you so much, even though it's only been 5 days :-( since you left to move to California. Can't wait to see you again.

Heather Weekend

What an amazing weekend, somehow though it always flys and I find myself driving Heather back to the airport when it seems that I just picked her up.

Heather is one of those people that you belly laugh with, can be really silly with, and can cry with all within a few hours. I wish she lived closer (maybe someday).

Heather, I so appreciate you taking the time out to come and visit. It was a breath of fresh air and it brought heaven to earth. Thank you my friend for always caring, listening, and giving so selflessly. You inspire and amaze me. I love you, LB

Weekend at the Cabin

We love going to the cabin especially in the fall! The leaves were gorgeous. This past weekend we took our friends Kevin & Julie with us to our friend Peggy's cabin in the mountains of Virginia. It was so fun just relaxing, playing games, laughing, napping, reading, watching movies, hiking, cooking, facials, and making carmel apple ciders & lattes!

Fun time at the Park

So many of our friends have children. My friend Becky and her children Cammie & Devon all went to the pool--the water was a wee bit chilly, so we walked over to the park. Man have parks changed since I was little, Cammie loved it, and I have some cute pictures of them going down the slide . . . i love these kids. Becky & Andy your children are great!

MORGAN & me

This past weekend I flew to Chicago for a long weekend to spend with my best friend Maggie and her new baby girl Morgan, here are some pictures, she is absolutely gorgeous! And she is such a good baby, we totally bonded. She has Jeff's beautiful blue eyes, and Mags super social personality (she's more happy when she's with lots of people than alone). Morgan is so blessed to have Maggie & Jeff as her parents, they are such loving people.

So much going on . . .

Well I haven't posted in a long time partly because I haven't been on the internet much, and partly because life has been a little wild these days. First I've been studying for my licensure exam which I took on Saturday April 12th from 9am-1pm. I'm so glad I'm done! Now, all I have to do is work, no classes, no internship, studying for large exams, etc. just work, I think I might feel like a normal person, well maybe.

So then after the exam, I flew to Chicago for our friend Erik's wedding, but before the wedding on Sunday, I hung out with my good friends, Kelly, Heather, & Traci and . . . hacked off my hair to donate to locks or love, here's the before and after, plus my friends & Kelly's baby Cameryn:


Let's see, then on Sunday I went to the wedding (Todd was already there, he was a groomsman), it was in Hyde Park- in Chicago in this gorgeous chapel on the campus of University of Chicago's Theological Seminary. The wedding was at 4pm on Sunday, it was beautiful, a little cold for this now Southern girl, but beautiful and fun to hang with friends we haven't seen since we got married 5 years ago. Well we didn't think the day would come, but Erik is MARRIED, Congrats Erik & Andrea!
