"I have loved you for so long"

This is what I kept telling Monika after she was laid on my chest right after she was born.  "I have loved you for so long."  That's the way I felt, I have loved our child for so many years, I just didn't know how our child would come to us or what they would look like.

At that moment that we will never forget, Todd and I were both sobbing, well Monika was too.  She entered the world screaming and crying.  So that's how our family started, with lots of tears of joy.

It's been over 5 weeks, and I have not kept up my end of blogging more, but I think I will more now.  In 5 weeks we've had only 5 days without visitors staying with us, so to my credit, I've been busy, but no excuses.  It has been awesome having so many friends and family come to be with us and enjoy Monika.  Everyone was so great helping with night time feedings, cleaning, cooking, house projects, yard work, taking pictures, running errands, etc, it's been a dream and so helpful for us.

Okay so here are pictures you been asking about . . .

Oh, she is a lovely little thing and I can tell by your post that she is much, much loved! All the pictures are wonderful but I think I like the one where she is trussed up like a little mummy asleep .....I can almost hear a baby snore, she looks so deep in slumber!

Love the t shirts!

Sarah--thank you for your kind words

Monika--I will tell Kyle and yes we have a break.

Monta--Thank you for looking at my blog and for having the best woman in the world! Your amazing to have raised Monika, what would we do without her? I don't know, I'm pretty sure we wouldn't have our baby girl.

Krista--I wish you were here too. But you have Germany, my friend and that's awesome. If you just can't stand it and need to fly here, I totally understand.
